    • Background: Osteopontin, OPN (designated Nephropontin or Secreted phosphoprotein 1, SPP-1 ). Binds tightly to hydroxyapatite. Appears to form an integral part of the mineralized matrix. Probably important to cell-matrix interaction.

Acts as a cytokine involved in enhancing production of interferon-gamma and interleukin-12 and reducing production of interleukin-10 and is essential in the pathway that leads to type I immunity. Extensively phosphorylated on serine residues.

      Belongs to the osteopontin family.

      Specificity : · anti-OPN is a rabbit polyclonal antybody

      · epitope mapping near the amino terminus of OPN of human, origin

      · species reactivity for OPN of human,

      · use for western blotting elisa, immunoprecipitation

      and immunohistochemisty

Quantity size : 1ml (Reconstitued with 500ul pH 7.4 0.01 M PBS or diluent of antibody)

      Application: · Western blotting1200-500

      · ELISA1500-1000

      · Immunohistochemistry 1200-500

      · Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Storage:      Store at –20 ºC for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20ºC. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01 M PBS or diluent of antibody to 0.2ml, the antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-4 ºC.
